The Coffee Shop Operations Intern will assist in the day-to-day operations of StartupLab’s partner coffee shop, supporting baristas, customer service, inventory activities, and store presentation. Interns will help prepare simple beverages, serve customers, maintain cleanliness, organize materials, and ensure smooth shop flow during operating hours.
This internship is perfect for students who want hands-on experience in food & beverage operations, customer service, product preparation, and business management in a real coffee shop environment. Training will be provided.
Responsibilities
- Assist baristas in preparing basic beverages
- Help serve customers and handle simple service tasks
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in work and dining areas
- Support inventory checks and restocking supplies
- Organize store materials, packaging, and ingredients
- Assist in taking and preparing orders
- Ensure good customer interaction and service quality
- Follow food safety and hygiene standards
- Support daily opening or closing routines
Educational Requirements
- Open to HRM, Tourism, Business Administration, Marketing, or any related course
- Must be enrolled in an OJT / internship program
Experience Requirements
- Experience with school or personal projects related to food, events, or customer service is an advantage
- Basic experience preparing beverages or assisting in events is helpful
- No professional experience required
