The UI/UX Designer Intern will support StartupLab in designing user-friendly interfaces, improving the user experience for digital products, and producing wireframes, prototypes, and visual mockups. You will collaborate with developers, system analysts, and product teams to translate user requirements into clean, intuitive, and visually appealing designs.
This role is ideal for students who enjoy creativity, digital design, and solving user problems through thoughtful interface layouts. You will receive guidance from the StartupLab design team and have opportunities to build a strong design portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Create wireframes, mockups, and UI layouts
- Assist in designing prototypes using tools like Figma
- Support user research and gather usability insights
- Collaborate with developers to ensure functional UI implementation
- Prepare visual assets and design elements
- Revise designs based on feedback from mentors and team
- Document UI/UX guidelines and standards
Educational Requirements
- Open to IT, Multimedia Arts, Graphics Design, Engineering, or related programs
- Must be enrolled in an OJT / internship subject
Experience Requirements
- Must have created at least one UI or UX-related school project or personal project
- Must have a basic portfolio (can be Google Drive, Behance, Figma links, or screenshots)
- Experience using design tools (Figma, Canva, or similar) through academic or personal work
- Familiarity with wireframing or prototyping from class activities or self-study
Additional Requirements
- Strong creativity and visual communication skills
- Basic knowledge of design tools (Figma or similar)
- Willingness to learn UI/UX principles
- Ability to follow design guidelines
- Good attention to detail
